Powerscourt/Kitten's Joy: An Exotic Betting Situation Wager
More Salivating! First Time Lasix has always been one of my betting choice considerations. Sealing the deal since August 2004 has been awareness of all the accompanying angles or, in the words of the OMH, Betting Situations. The first 10 Betting Situation sections of the OMH show 124 Past Performance charts illustrated with comments, and the specific situations leading to profitable wagering. Fifty two of the 124 (41%) include First Time Lasix-First Start and First Time Lasix-Second or Later Start. The "Betting Situation" chapters have 8 sections illustrating 11 Past Performance charts showing both First Time Lasix situations, as one of the betting considerations with payoffs ranging from $6.80 to $25.80. Three of the 11 combine First Time Lasix with another key Betting Situation for an exotic wager. Trifecta payoffs were $761.50, $1805.00 and $144.00. More proof of the pudding...
Powerscourt Betting Situations
- First Time Lasix-Second or Later Start: not exactly, since lasix was used in 2 previous U.S. races on October 30th and August 14, 2004. He won both but was disqualified once.
- His next 5 races were in Europe where lasix is not allowed: No lasix, no wins.
- Jockey Change - Favorable: once again not exactly, but Fallon agreed to come to America to ride. $60,000 (his share of the winner's purse) in 2:03.38 helped him make the decision. He knew the horse was ready to win.
- Blinkers On/Off: to avoid repeat of August 14, 2004 disqualification.
- Preferred Track: the disqualification doesn't change liking the track.
- Preferred Distance: 5 for 8 in the money: disqualification cost a win and in the money finish. Not commented on is cost, owner spent more than $25,000 dollars to fly his horse from Europe. The owners knew, too.
Kitten's Joy Betting Situations
- Preferred Track: won a Grade I Stakes at Arlington on August 14th.
- Preferred Distance: 2 for 2 at distance. Other factors: has 9 wins and 2 seconds in 11 starts on turf. He was favored in all but 4 lifetime races. 7 of 9 wins were graded stakes. Was morning line favorite at 6-5.
- May be the easiest trifecta I have ever bet. How did I bet? A partial Tri wheel.1-9 over 1-9 over all. Still can't believe $281.40 payoff.
A champion is hard to bet against. Betting Situations pointed to the winner.
