Kevin Stafford - PA"Mr. DiTondo, I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful handicapping tool. Nothing has helped me organize my thoughts in a more logical and yet insightful manner. As proof of yet another OMH success, I thought I might share the "betting situations" contained in what was the real story Preakness day at Pimlico this year. In the 3rd race, an Optional Alw/Clm for $47,600 - the 8 horse Smart Pace won paying $23.60, as well as sitting atop a very playable $201.80 exacta. I managed to hit him 5x to win, as well as for $1 over the field. Believe me, I already wish I'd bet more. Here were the angles: - Had been sharp off layoffs last 2 out, winning both - had been bumped in last start (troubled trip), otherwise he might be 3 for 3. - strong workouts (bullet on 5/4/07) - showed first flash on the tote board - his M/L odds were more than cut in half to 5/1. He bounced back up to his M/L odds later. -had a notable jockey change to N. Santagata Plenty of angles. I don't have my DRF any more, only the track program, and strongly believe that Trainer Stats also influenced my betting decision. Now, it must be said that there were other strong horses in the races, including ones with numerous angles. That being said, it was impossible to ignore a chance on the angles/odds of this horse. He's a clear candidate that would be marked as a prime play when wagering at multiple tracks. Again, thank you for your hard work and insightful suggestions, Kevin Stafford"
